“I need your help.”

One fact I accepted a long time ago is that I can’t help everyone.  And if I tried to help everyone, I’d limit my ability to help everyone because there is only so much time in the day. So in reality I’d be helping no one.

As a result we don’t take every case that comes through the door, but we will talk to anyone who calls or e-mails us.  If we don’t take your case we will tell you why unlike some firms who for whatever reason are afraid to be direct with clients or potential clients.

But I do want to help everyone.  And there are very few things as frustrating as when I talk to someone who comes to me way too late because their lawyer has screwed up their case too badly.  When I know that had they come to us in the beginning or even early on that someone in our state wide network would have been able to make things right, it’s heart breaking.

Somebody telling me, “I need your help,” is really the most humbling experience an attorney can have and while we can’t help everyone, it’s an honor to even be asked.
